The Soldiers Table Revealed
The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of characters who will branch out from the main group to embark on their separate journey, separate from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team consists of Teor (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Combat Party
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are few and far between.
Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might seem out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
For one thing, the party knows exactly where to go next after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the narrative’s action—exploited the foes for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to auction.
Casimir then settled his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, above the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each character has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:
- The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure knows the region and cautions that it is a nasty environment.
- The warrior and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could enable the group enter areas they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now go with him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The rogue and The character are known criminals.
- The strong figure and The healer defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The target is marked for death by the clan.
This leaves them little choice but to travel to the remote area in quest for the antagonist.
